Marshall Park FC 9-1 Belle Isle FC

Our 2nd game of the season vs Belle Isle FC. Ended with an excellent performance from the team coming out 9-1 winners. Up against a young youthful team in Belle Isle, Marshall was soon in there stride in the game carrying on from where we left off in week one. Marshall creating chances with the Belle Isle keeper pulling off some wonderful saves. To the degree after 20 minutes it was getting rather frustrating as even if the keeper did not get to the ball one of the Belle Isle players was back on the goal line to make a clearance.
It felt that it would be a matter of time before Marshall would make the breakthrough. The resistance of Belle Isle was soon broken as the ball broke to Matty Fannon who released through on goal around 20 yards out still had plenty to do as the keeper pulling off approached Matty slotted the ball into back of the net. 1-nil Marshall. It was not long after that the 2nd goal and once again it was Matty Fannon who scored. Marshall kept the pressure on and was playing higher press and attacking football for Mccauley Elliott to get the 3rd goal not long before half time.

Manager Stephen Quinn was able to make a hand full of changed at half time with Mark Atkinson being introduced to the game hoping to keep his scoring hit streak alive. However it was soon 4-nil not with Mark scoring but with Mark setting Kieran Liam Yaffe up to make it 4-nil. Unfortunately Belle was running out of ideas and seemed rather leggy at this point. (Cart wheels need to improve Yaffe)
It was soon 5nil with Nathaniel Brazier making up for a good number of missed opportunities in the 1st half to score. Again through Natty keeping up his recent good form of scoring.
Daniel Jackson soon hit a sweet half turn volley which hit the back of the net.. 5-nil.
Some quick fire goals from Matty & Macca with Belle isle getting a goal that in fairness was a good move and a decent finish from the corner of the box beating the keeper at full stretch into the net.
Game ended with a 9-1 win to Marshall.
