ABOUT US

Over 10 years ago in Marshall Park, Yeadon there was a dads and lads who began to play football on a weekly basis. This began to grow to other parents getting involved and there children coming along.

In 2021 the lads had now become older teenagers growing to be young men. They all wanted to play football in a league together. The only way that was possible was to form a Football team. Marshall Park FC was formed with Chris Sullivan & Mark Woods having the desire to see this take place. They made a few enquiries and sure enough the YCF League was happy for Marshall Park FC to join.

2021-2022

Matthew Jackson was our 1st ever manager who we won our 1st UNITY TROPHY with in Summer 2021 beating Yeadon FC & North United in a round robbing set of games. During the 2021/2022 season we won the League cup trophy beating North United 3-2 in the final.

2022-2024

Matthew Jackson stepped down as manager of Marshall Park and has recently got married and is enjoying his new found freedom. During the 2022/23 & 2023/24 seasons we had Kevin Thompson managing the team. Kevin is no stranger to us as he is former players dad Luke Thompson. Kevin has been involved with coaching at Guiseley FC. In Summer 2022 we retained our UNITY Trophy beating Armley FC.

2024-2025

The 2024-25 season saw a transition from Kevin Thompson to Jonny Jackson who again we all know as he is Danny, Bryan & Shaun’s dad. Keen and enthusiastic to see us as a club move up the table and hopefully win another trophy or 2.

2025-2026

The 2025-26 season has seen a few changes. After having four seasons in the same league we as a club felt it was time to join a new league to give us a new challenge. Leeds Football Community League we are now affiliated with. The games will continue on a Saturday mornings.

Stephen Quinn who has played for us last 4 seasons a loyal supporter of the heart of the football club. Is going to be our coach/manager for the 25/26 season. Stephen brings a depth of knowledge to Marshall Park not only from a coaching perspective but he also is a qualified ref. We are looking forward to working with Stephen.

Football is a great inchoative for building friendships, confidence and to encourage youth in the development of life. We have found that over recent years there has been a real togetherness between all the local community.
